About This Project

At Shivah Web Tech, we were engaged to design and build VisionForge AI — a production-ready, AI-powered image generation platform that enables users to create stunning, high-resolution visuals from simple text prompts in a matter of seconds. The project was commissioned by a client in the creative technology space who wanted to build a competitive, feature-rich alternative to established AI image tools — one that combined powerful generation capabilities with a clean, intuitive interface that both professional designers and everyday users could pick up and use immediately without any learning curve.

VisionForge AI is not a wrapper around a third-party tool. It is a fully custom-built SaaS platform — with its own prompt engineering layer, style selection system, credit-based monetisation engine, gallery management, image upscaling pipeline, and developer API. Our team at Shivah Web Tech handled the full stack — from UI/UX design and frontend development to AI model integration, backend infrastructure, payment processing, and API documentation.

The Client’s Vision

The client came to us with a clear vision and a set of specific requirements that set this project apart from a standard web application build. They wanted a platform that felt premium — visually polished, fast, and responsive — while also being genuinely powerful under the hood. The target audience included digital artists, graphic designers, content creators, social media managers, marketing teams, and developers who needed programmatic access to image generation via API. The client also needed a sustainable business model built into the platform from day one. A credits-based system — where users purchase credit packages and spend credits on image generations, upscales, and edits — was chosen as the monetisation model. This meant the platform needed robust user account management, credit tracking, purchase flows, usage history, and billing — all integrated seamlessly into the user experience without making it feel transactional or restrictive.

How the Platform Works

The generation flow in VisionForge AI was designed to be as frictionless as possible while giving users meaningful creative control. A user opens the Generate tab, types a prompt — anything from “a futuristic cyberpunk city at night, neon reflections on wet streets, ultra detailed, cinematic lighting, 8K resolution” to a simple “ocean at dusk” — and selects their preferred artistic style and aspect ratio. Within seconds, the platform returns a high-quality generated image rendered to the exact specification the user requested.

Behind the scenes, our team built a custom prompt engineering layer that intelligently enhances user inputs before sending them to the underlying AI model — adding style-specific parameters, quality modifiers, and negative prompts automatically based on the selected mode. This means even users who are new to prompt writing get consistently high-quality results without needing to understand the technical vocabulary of AI image generation. More experienced users can override these defaults and input their own advanced prompts for full creative control.

The Edit tab allows users to make adjustments to generated images — cropping, recolouring, and inpainting specific areas — while the Upscale tab takes any generated or uploaded image and enhances it to print-ready resolution using a dedicated super-resolution model. Every action on the platform consumes credits from the user’s balance, with real-time credit tracking displayed in the interface so users always know exactly where they stand.

Technical Stack & Architecture

Our web development team built VisionForge AI on a modern, scalable technology stack chosen specifically for its ability to handle high-concurrency AI workloads without performance degradation. The frontend was built as a fast, reactive single-page application using React — delivering the smooth, near-instant interface interactions that users expect from a premium creative tool. The dark-themed UI was designed by our design team to reduce eye strain during long creative sessions while keeping the visual hierarchy clean and the controls immediately discoverable.

The backend was built with a Node.js API layer handling authentication, credit management, generation queue management, and webhook processing — with a Python microservice responsible for all AI model communication, prompt processing, and image post-processing. Image generation jobs are queued asynchronously so the interface remains responsive even when the platform is processing large batches of generation requests simultaneously. Generated images are stored in cloud object storage with CDN delivery, ensuring fast load times for gallery browsing regardless of where in the world the user is accessing the platform from.

The developer API was built as a fully documented REST API with API key authentication, per-key rate limiting, usage dashboards, and webhook support for asynchronous generation callbacks. This allows developers and agencies to integrate VisionForge AI’s generation capabilities directly into their own applications, workflows, and products — opening up a significant B2B revenue channel for the client beyond direct consumer subscriptions.
